It Takes Two Jacket Workshop

The It Takes Two Jacket Virtual Sewing Workshop is meant to accompany the It Takes Two Jacket PDF pattern.

Please note this workshop focuses on the self enclosed finishes included in the instruction booklet, specifically designed for woven fabrics. The videos will go in depth covering French seams, bias binding, and bound buttonhole construction methods. This workshop is NOT intended for makers looking to sew a KNIT FABRIC version of this pattern. Feel free to reach out: email threadityourself@forestandthread.com for any questions!

Workshops are taught by Isabelle Levine, founder and pattern designer for Forest & Thread. All sessions are pre-recorded from her home studio in Brooklyn, NY.

The workshop includes 4 separate sessions, breaking down the pattern into smaller segments. Each session includes between 1-3 hours of footage utilizing a 2-camera set-up, 1 focusing on the table/sewing machine and 1 focusing on Isabelle so you can see her face while she instructs you through the entire construction process. There is also a workshop portal where students can ask questions directly to Isabelle.

Students will need a computer, tablet, or smart phone with access to the internet in order to watch the workshops.

Session 3:

• Step 10 – Apply Your Front Pieces
• Step 11 – Sew Your Shoulder Seams
• Step 12 – Assemble Your Left Sleeve
• Step 13 – Attach Your Sleeves
• Step 14 – Sew Your Side Seams & Sleeve Seams

Session 4:

• Step 15 – Finish Your Sleeve Hems
• Step 16 – Attach Your Collar
• Step 17 – Insert Your Zipper
• Step 18 – Finish Your Hem
