It Takes Two Pants Workshop

The It Takes Two Pants Virtual Sewing Workshop is meant to accompany the It Takes Two Pants PDF pattern.

Please note this workshop focuses on the self enclosed finishes included in the instruction booklet, specifically designed for woven fabrics. The videos will go in depth covering French seams and bound buttonhole construction methods. This workshop is NOT intended for makers looking to sew a KNIT FABRIC version of this pattern. Workshops are taught by Isabelle Levine, founder and pattern designer for Forest & Thread. All sessions are pre-recorded from her home studio in Brooklyn, NY.

The workshop includes 4 separate sessions, breaking down the pattern into smaller segments. Each session includes between 1-2 hours of footage utilizing a 2-camera set-up, 1 focusing on the table/sewing machine and 1 focusing on Isabelle so you can see her face while she instructs you through the entire construction process. There is also a workshop portal where students can ask questions directly to Isabelle.

Students will need a computer, tablet, or smart phone with access to the internet in order to watch the workshops.

• Step 9 – Assemble Your Right Leg Pieces
• Step 10 – Sew Your Front Rise

Session 3:

• Step 11 – Assemble Your Slash Pockets
• Step 12 – Sew Your Back Rise
• Step 13 – Sew Your Side Seams
• Step 14 – Sew Your Inseams

Session 4:

• Step 15 – Attach Your Waistband
• Step 16 – Sew Your Hem
• Step 17 – Add Your Drawstring
