“I tested the #damngooddress by @forest.and.thread in a Lyocell/nylon blend baby blue linen-like fabric. I love the dress! Like all @forest.and.thread patterns, every detail is thoughtful and the insides end up just as pretty as the outside. The fabric I used has quite a bit of drape—which seems to transform the style of the dress from architectural and modern to fluid with a minimalist shirt dress feel. Rolled sleeves and a collar curl create a much more casual wear. Speaking of comfort— elastic in a waist-tie is a super brilliant detail for those of us with curves who like the luxury of both having shape and breathing at the same time. If you’ve sewn a garment or two and are feeling ready to grow your finishing skills— this is the perfect pattern for you to sit down and enjoy. Bonus, no serger needed, whatsoever! It’s all French seams and encased raw edges.”
